The owner of this bike, he named it “ The Cedar Shaker”, as homage to Nantucket Island’s cedar shake house which would be rattled by the engine’s rumble. And he tied in elements like hand-knotted, sailors rope craft grips, and of course, the whale on the tank. For the longest time, He saw the classic Harley tank panel abstracted as a whale form. This idea was conveyed by Gen Love Ear Art, which he accomplished so well that many admirers don’t see the white whale that is expertly integrated into the design.
It is a personality-rich finish that was linked to his beloved island and nautical culture.
